Mini Moon or Asteroid 2024 PT5- This asteroid is only 33 feet long and 9 times farther away than our moon. It is too far to see with the naked eye. And only very large telescopes can view it.
Have you experienced a truly dark sky? Have you peered into the depths of the Milky Way and been inspired by the expanse and beauty of the universe? Thousands of people participate in Mount Cuba Observatory programs every year, getting a chance to peer through a telescope, or visiting our planetarium to travel to the wonders of the universe. Young people from local schools and clubs attend special programs at the Observatory, often having their very first views through a telescope. With your support, we can continue to offer programs, work to improve K-12 astronomy and science education, and provide the foundation needed by people of all ages to become citizen scientists. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation in support of Mount Cuba's work. Mount Cuba Observatory is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, so 100 percent of your donation goes to supporting the Observatory. Also, don't forget to ask your company to match your donation!
