Mini Moon or Asteroid 2024 PT5- This asteroid is only 33 feet long and 9 times farther away than our moon. It is too far to see with the naked eye. And only very large telescopes can view it.
CUBESAT Program
The Curie Cubesat program is designed to determine the size and location of solar radio bursts. The satellite will launch in late 2020. Mt. Cuba Observatory is hosting the Delaware Cubesat Ground station, under the direction of Dr. Ben Maruca. The ground station will provide communications (uplink and downlink) to the spacecraft, and provide infrastructure for future cubesat missions. The goal is also to provide students with hands-on experience with space hardware design. More information and details can be found here.
