The 1.3m telescope will have an Andor Ikon XL 231 large format CCD camera.  The detector is a 16.8 megapixel back illuminated sensor with a quantum efficiency of ~90% and a well depth of 350,000 e.   The camera can be cooled to -80 C without the need for liquid nitrogen.

The 1.3m telescope will also have a Shelyak Eshel II spectrograph.  This spectrograph will cover 4500 - 7000 Angstroms with a resoltuion greater than 10,000.   This is a major upgrade for Mt. Cuba, which currently does not have a working spectrograph.  Both instruments will be accessible through the telescope MIA (multi-instrument adapter).
